Evacuation team member

Evacuation team member

In the workplace, mastering the fire evacuation plan and coordinating teams are essential to ensuring occupant safety and limiting the consequences of an incident. The risks associated with a poorly organised evacuation—particularly confusion at the assembly point or inadequate support for people with reduced mobility—are major concerns for businesses.

This corporate leading-and-rear-guard training prepares evacuation team members to fulfil their roles as leaders and rear guards, apply evacuation procedures, manage crowds and conduct fire evacuation drills in accordance with the Labour Code. It includes preparing the safety register, setting up the assembly point and taking into account the specific needs of people with disabilities.

  • Identify the elements of the fire evacuation plan and the associated assembly points
  • Understand leading and rear-guard procedures and apply them during an evacuation drill
